Does it work on scanned PDFs?
A scan is a picture of text, so there is nothing to extract until it has been through OCR. Run it through our OCR tool first, then convert the result.
Is the layout preserved?
Each paragraph becomes one line — lines that wrapped in the PDF are joined back together — and pages are separated by a blank line. Columns and tables are read left to right, line by line.
What happens to my file after it's processed?
Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, processed, and returned to you straight away. We don’t keep a copy: temporary working files are deleted the moment the conversion finishes, and nothing is stored afterwards.
