No. The page images are untouched apart from straightening crooked scans. The recognised text sits invisibly behind them.
Why is OCR a Pro feature?
Recognising text is by far the most computing-intensive thing we do. Pro keeps it fast and available for the people who rely on it.
What happens to my file after it's processed?
Your file is sent over an encrypted connection, processed, and returned to you straight away. We don’t keep a copy: temporary working files are deleted the moment the conversion finishes, and nothing is stored afterwards.
