Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of ToPDF. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use ToPDF.

The service

ToPDF provides tools for converting and editing PDF and related files. Some tools run in your browser; others process your file on our servers. Free use is subject to daily limits, which are shown on the pricing page and may change.

Your files

Your files remain yours. You give us permission to process them only as needed to deliver the result you asked for. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use the files you upload.

Acceptable use

Please don't use ToPDF to:

• process content that is illegal or that you have no right to use;
• remove protection from documents you are not authorised to unlock;
• upload malware or attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service;
• get around usage limits, or resell access without our agreement.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Accounts

Keep your password private and tell us if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.

ToPDF Pro

Pro is a subscription billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe. It renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.

Refunds. If Pro isn't right for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full. Beyond that, payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

We may change prices for future billing periods. If we do, we will tell you beforehand so you can cancel if you prefer.

Availability and accuracy

We work hard to keep ToPDF reliable, but it is provided “as is”. Conversions between formats are not always perfect, so check important documents before relying on them. We can't promise the service will always be available or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, ToPDF is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will update the date above and notify account holders. Continuing to use ToPDF after a change means you accept it.
